You’ll fall in love with the ocean on a whole new scale.

Hello, I am Mori.

I was born in Osaka, Japan and grew up with no connection to the ocean at all.

When I was seven, my family visited Ushimado, a scenic beach in the Seto Inland Sea. Excited, I put on a diving mask and started swimming. But after a while, water kept seeping into my mask. Before I knew it, I couldn't touch the bottom. People were nearby, yet I couldn't breathe, and I couldn't even call for help. Somehow, I managed to swim back to shallower water, but for the first time in my life, I truly felt the danger of death.

Looking back, the mask I used at the time was made of rubber and didn’t fit my face well, allowing water to leak in.

Ten Years Later

Fast forward a decade, and I found myself on an uninhabited island in the Sea of Japan.

A bright blue sky. Calm, crystal-clear waters.

In the summer of my 17th year, I camped on this island with friends. That’s where I first put on fins and tried chasing fish with a pole spear.

At first, every time I aimed, the fish escaped at the last moment. But I discovered that by emptying my mind, I could finally start catching them. That feeling of accomplishment is something I still remember vividly.

Another Twelve Years Passed

By then, I had been living in Saipan for nearly a decade, working as a diving instructor. The island has warm weather and beautiful waters all year round.

I eagerly took up spearfishing again. However, I had never properly trained in freediving, so I relied on my own instincts. I struggled even at -5 meters, running out of breath while searching for fish. I had no one to turn to for advice. To make things worse, the first speargun I bought was so slow that fish easily dodged the shot.

But then, I was fortunate enough to learn from Felix, the best freediving fisherman on the island. He taught me breathing techniques, and I watched how he patiently waited on the ocean floor for fish to come to him. Before long, I could dive to 20 meters, catch fish hiding in holes, and bring them back up.

Over time, he took me under his wing, and before I knew it, he became both my mentor and my dive buddy.

Learning from the Best

In any skill, surrounding yourself with experts sets a high baseline and accelerates your progress.

Felix and I founded the island’s first spearfishing non-profit organization, bringing together local spearfishermen. With sponsorships from local businesses and manufacturers, we began hosting annual competitions.

As a team, we also competed in tournaments in Guam, improving our rankings each year. Eventually, we each won our respective qualifiers and represented Saipan in the 2010 Micronesian Olympics, which features spearfishing as an official event every four years. That same year, Felix and I won the overall championship in the Saipan tournament.

All of this happened within just five years of me starting spearfishing.

The Depth of Spearfishing

Spearfishing isn’t just about catching fish. It’s about becoming one with the ocean—emptying your mind on the seafloor and waiting for the right moment. The thrill of a successful catch is unmatched.

However, this incredible sport comes with significant risks. When I started out on my own, I encountered countless challenges and even moments where my life was in danger. I’ve also lost more than a few friends along the way.

Through these experiences, I learned one crucial lesson: “Self-taught means self-risk.”

That’s why we created this course. Our experienced instructors will guide you safely and efficiently into the world of spearfishing.

Course Features:
Beginner-Friendly & Fast Progress
What takes over a year to learn on your own, you’ll master in just two weeks. What takes a decade, you’ll reach in just three months.

Efficient Learning
Learn everything systematically—from reading the ocean, wind, and terrain to handling equipment and spotting fish.

Safety First
Master risk management and essential survival skills to protect yourself in the water.

Spearfishing: The Ultimate Adventure Sport

Spearfishing isn’t just about catching fish—it’s about harmonizing with nature and experiencing the ocean in its purest form. One of the greatest aspects of spearfishing is the ability to select your catch. Each fish species presents a different level of challenge, and local regulations ensure that only fish above a certain size can be taken. This makes spearfishing an incredibly eco-friendly and sustainable fishing method.

By joining our program, you’ll develop your skills in an ultra-short period and unlock the thrill of spearfishing. But that’s not all—once you master this skill, as long as there’s an ocean, you’ll never go hungry. No matter where you are in the world—even if stranded on a deserted island—you’ll be able to survive.

Your Adventure Starts Here.

Let’s begin!

…Or at least, that’s what we’d love to say.

Unfortunately, spearfishing isn’t for everyone. Around 5–10% of people may find it physically unsuitable.

To ensure you don’t waste your valuable time, please complete the following tests before moving on to the next step.

Test A: Equalization Check

1️⃣ Take a 70% deep breath and pinch your nose closed with one hand.
2️⃣ Gently blow through your nose while keeping it pinched. Since the air can’t escape, it will pressurize your eardrums from the inside.

👉 Did you feel a slight “pop” or “click” sensation in both ears?

Yes: Great! You’re ready for the next step.
No: You might struggle to complete the course at this stage.

However, don’t worry—this can often be improved with a simple daily exercise that takes just a few seconds. Your eardrums may lack flexibility because they haven’t experienced significant pressure changes before.

➡️ Training Tip: Repeat the above action daily. Over time, your eardrums will adapt and become more flexible. If you start noticing the “pop” sensation in both ears, proceed to the next step.

Test B: Breath-Hold Ability

1️⃣ Prepare a timer (your phone or a watch will work).
2️⃣ Sit comfortably, keep your back straight, and take three deep breaths (inhale and exhale through your mouth).
3️⃣ On the fourth breath, inhale as deeply as possible and hold your breath. Start the timer at the same time.
4️⃣ Record the number of seconds you can hold your breath.

👉 Could you hold your breath for at least 1 minute?

Yes: Well done! Move on to the next step.
No: You’ll need to practice.

➡️ Training Tip: Perform this exercise daily. Most people see significant improvement within a few days to a week. Some even pass on the same day!

Once you pass these two tests, you’re ready for the next phase of your spearfishing journey! 🚀
